According to the New York Post, tawdry prom dresses are a must for fashion-forward teens.
The hot trend is slutty chic — with cleavage-revealing frocks, bellybutton-baring gowns and dresses made of barely enough fabric to make a washcloth.
Oh, dear. I think the trouble here is that teens are mistaking “skanky” for “sophisticated.”
Lord help them if they happen to admire Katy Perry, who arrived at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards looking like a spangled strumpet.
Even grown-up girls can be part of the solution. If you have a closet full of bridesmaid dresses you’ll never wear again, donate them to the Cinderella Project, an organization that matches gently used gowns with underprivileged teens.
That blue tulle monstrosity can finally do some good — and prevent at least one high school girl from looking like a floozy on prom night.
Doesn’t it feel great to give back? 🙂
